Tulingan Bistek
Traditional Filipino tulingan bistek recipe
Instructions
Cut the bullet tuna into serving-sized chunks. In a bowl, marinate with soy sauce, calamansi juice, minced garlic, and sugar for 15 minutes.
Heat cooking oil in a wok or pan over medium-high heat.
Sear the tuna chunks for 2 minutes per side until the outside is golden but the inside is still slightly moist.
Add the sliced onions and stir-fry for 2 minutes until softened but still crisp.
Pour in any remaining marinade and cook for 1 more minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
Adjust seasoning with more soy sauce or calamansi if needed. Serve hot with steamed rice.
