Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry

Filipino shrimp and broccoli stir fry recipe

Ingredients

  • 300 g Shrimp
  • 1.5 cups Broccoli
  • 0.75 piece Bell Pepper
  • 0.75 piece Onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1.5 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 0.75 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 0.75 tsp Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp. Toss them with a pinch of cornstarch, salt, and pepper to coat evenly.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and 2 tablespoons of water to make the stir-fry sauce.

  3. Heat a wok or large pan over high heat with a splash of oil. When very hot, add the shrimp and sear for 1 minute per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same wok, add the sliced bell pepper and onions. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until crisp-tender.

  5. Add the broccoli florets and a splash of water, cover briefly to steam for 1 minute.

  6. Pour in the sauce, return the shrimp to the wok, and toss everything together for 1 minute until the sauce is glossy and coats everything.

  7. Serve immediately hot with steamed rice.
