Butter Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Filipino butter garlic shrimp pasta recipe

Ingredients

  • 875 g Shrimp
  • 700 g Pasta
  • 7 tbsp Butter
  • 10.5 cloves Garlic
  • 7 stalks Green Onions
  • 0.88 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 3.5 tbsp Parsley
  • 1.75 piece Lemon

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.

  2. Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on if preferred.

  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Add the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove the skillet from heat.

  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp. Drizzle with lemon juice and toss to combine, adding a splash of pasta water if needed.

  6. Garnish generously with sliced green onions and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
