Banana Cue
Classic Filipino street snack — saba bananas battered in caramelized sugar, deep-fried to golden perfection.
Instructions
Melt the sugar with 1/4 cup water. Cook until it caramelizes to a dark amber color (do not burn).
Thread the banana halves onto the bamboo sticks.
Dip the bananas in the sugar caramel, then coat the oil to deep fry until golden.
Drain on paper towels. Serve warm while the sugar is still crispy on the outside.
