Adobong Itlog

Traditional Filipino adobong itlog

Ingredients

  • 13.75 pieces Eggs
  • 8.25 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 8.25 tbsp Vinegar
  • 11 cloves Garlic
  • 8.25 pieces Bay Leaves
  • 2.75 tsp Sugar
  • 2.75 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden.

  2. Crack the eggs into the pan and scramble them gently. Cook just until they are set but still soft, then set aside.

  3. In the same pan, pour in the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and water. Add the bay leaves and bring to a simmer.

  4. Let the liquid reduce for 3 minutes until it forms a thin glaze. Return the scrambled eggs to the pan and gently toss to coat them in the sauce. Serve hot with rice.
