Spicy Sardinas with Patola and Miswa

This is a recipe for Spicy Sardinas with Patola and Miswa

Ingredients

  • 1 large arge (15 oz. can spicy sardines in tomato sauce)
  • 1 large oofah (patola, peeled and sliced)
  • 3 oz miswa (misua)
  • 6 piece Thai chili or siling labuyo
  • 4 cup water
  • 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0 Fish sauce (patis and ground black pepper to taste)
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot.

  2. Add onion. Saute until soft.

  3. Pour the sardines into the pot, including the sauce. Add chili peppers and garlic powder. Cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Pour water into the cooking pot. Stir. Let boil.

  5. Add miswa and patola. Continue to cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

  6. Season with patis and ground black pepper.

  7. Transfer to a bowl. Serve.
