Sinigang na Sugpo

This is a recipe for Sinigang na Sugpo or Prawn in Sour Broth Soup

Ingredients

  • 2.2 large bs. Sugpo (Tiger prawn)
  • 1 g pack Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix, Original
  • 6 piece Okra
  • 15 piece Sitaw (Snake Beans, cut in 2 inch pieces)
  • 1 medium Labanos (Daikon radish, sliced)
  • 3 medium tomato (wedged)
  • 3 medium yellow onion (wedged)
  • 5 piece siling pansigang (long green pepper)
  • 3 tbsp patis (fish sauce)
  • 1.12 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 quarts water

Instructions

  1. Pour water into a cooking pot. Let boil.

  2. Add onion and tomato. Cook for 3 minutes.

  3. Add Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc Recipe Mix. Stir.

  4. Put the Labanos and siling pansigang into the pot. Cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Add the Sugpo. Gently stir. Continue to cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Put Okra and Sitaw into the pot. Cook for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.

  7. Season with patis and ground black pepper. Stir.

  8. Add Kangkong. Cover the pot. Turn the heat off. Let it stay for at least 5 minutes.

  9. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve!
