Salabat

Warming ginger tea sweetened with muscovado sugar. A Filipino health tonic.

Ingredients

  • 3 inches Fresh Ginger
  • 3 tbsp Muscovado Sugar
  • 6 cups Water
  • 1.5 slice Lemon

Instructions

  1. Slice ginger thinly. Simmer in water for 15 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Strain the ginger tea. Stir in muscovado sugar.

  3. Serve hot in cups with a lemon slice.
