Paksiw na Isda

Fish simmered in tangy vinegar with tamarind and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 pcs Galan (grouper), whole
  • 0.5 cup Vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Tamarind pods
  • 2 pcs Tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 pcs Onion, sliced
  • 2 pcs Siling haba
  • 3 pcs Garlic, sliced
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Heat vinegar in a pan. Add tamarind pods and water, bring to simmer.

  2. Add tomatoes, onion, garlic, and chilies.

  3. Gently lay the fish in the pan. Cook for 15-20 minutes without flipping.

  4. Serve with steamed rice.
