Paksiw na Bangus

Milkfish simmered in sour tamarind and vinegar broth.

Ingredients

  • 2 pcs Bangus (milkfish), cleaned
  • 3 tbsp Tamarind paste
  • 0.5 cup Vinegar
  • 2 pcs Tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 pcs Onion, sliced
  • 2 pcs Siling haba
  • 3 pcs Garlic, sliced
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Mix vinegar, tamarind paste, and water in a pot. Bring it to a simmer.

  2. Drop in tomatoes, onion, garlic, and siling haba.

  3. Gently place milkfish in the broth. Cook for 15-20 minutes.

  4. Serve while hot with steamed rice.
