Ginisang Sayot
Traditional Filipino ginisang sayot
Instructions
Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onions, sauté until softened and fragrant.
Add the ground pork and cook until it browns and the fat begins to render out.
Stir in the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften and break down, about 2 minutes.
Slice the chayote (sayot) into thin half-moons. Add to the pan with the pork mixture and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender but still firm.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Give everything a good toss and serve hot as a side dish.
