Ginataang Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb salmon (steak cut)
  • 2 cup coconut cream (kakang gata)
  • 3 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 3 piece long green chili
  • 3 piece red Thai chili
  • 1 medium yellow onion (sliced)
  • 1.25 cup cane vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1.5 cup water

Instructions

  1. Arrange the salmon slices flat in a pan.

  2. Put-in the red and green chillies, garlic, ginger, onion, ground black pepper, fish sauce and water.

  3. Turn-on the heat and let boil.

  4. Pour-in the vinegar. Let it cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Add the coconut cream. Gently stir. cover and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the liquid reduces to half.

  6. Transfer to a serving plate.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
