Filipino Beef Tapa
Filipino Beef Tapa is easy to make and tastes much better than store-bought. Serve it with garlic fried rice and sunny-side eggs for a classic Tapsilog breakfast!
Instructions
Mix the soy sauce, calamansi juice, minced garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve.
Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the marinade and massage it well so every piece is coated.
Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 hours, to let the flavors penetrate the meat.
Remove the beef from the marinade, drain, and Pat them dry with paper towels.
Warm up some oil in a wide pan on medium heat. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, turning once, until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
Add another tablespoon of oil and continue cooking until the beef is lightly browned and caramelized at the edges.
Serve it while it's hot with garlic fried rice and a fried egg on the side.
