Ensaymada
Soft and fluffy yeast-risen bread rolls are baked until golden brown, then generously brushed with softened butter and topped with a shower of grated sharp cheese and powdered sugar for a sweet and savory Filipino pastry treat.
Instructions
Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add eggs and warm milk to form dough.
Knead in softened butter for 10 minutes until it's smooth.
Let rise for 1 hour. Shape into rolls.
Bake at 180C for 20 minutes. Top with margarine, cheese, and powdered sugar.
