Creamy Chicken Pesto Pasta

Traditional Filipino creamy chicken pesto pasta recipe

Ingredients

  • 700 g Chicken Breast
  • 700 g Pasta
  • 0.44 cup Pesto
  • 0.88 cup Cream
  • 5.25 cloves Garlic
  • 0.44 cup Parmesan
  • 1.75 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

  2. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Cook the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and slice into strips.

  4. In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in the cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  5. Stir in the pesto and grated Parmesan until well combined and smooth.

  6. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding pasta water as needed for a silky consistency.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh basil.
