Chili Garlic Butter Shrimp

Spicy ground beef stew with beans, tomatoes, and chili peppers. A Mexican-inspired dish enjoyed across the Philippines.

Ingredients

  • 2 large bs. medium to large shrimp (cleaned)
  • 5 piece red Thai chili pepper (minced)
  • 0.5 cup chopped scallions
  • 8 clove garlic (crushed and chopped)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the shrimp in a plate. Rub salt and ground black pepper all over. Let it stay for 10 minutes.

  2. Melt butter in a pan. Add the cooking oil. Once the mixture gets hot, add the garlic and then cook in medium heat until light brown.

  3. Put the chili into the pan. Stir and continue to cook for 30 seconds.

  4. Add in the shrimp. Stir-fry until it turns medium orange.

  5. Stir-in the chopped scallions and continue to stir-fry for 1 minute.

  6. Transfer to a serving plate.

  7. Serve.
