Ingredients

  • 3 lb bone-in beef shanks
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 0 salt to taste
  • 1 napa cabbage
  • 1 (16 ounces) fresh egg noodles
  • 0 green onion
  • 1 head garlic, peeled and minced
  • 0.5 cup canola oil

Instructions

  1. Warm up some oil in a pan or pot on medium heat.

  2. Heat oil in a pan. Brown beef on each side until golden, then set aside.

  3. Add the aromatics — garlic, onion, ginger — and Cook it until fragrant.

  4. Add the onion, pepper, cabbage. Season it to taste.

  5. Cook it until everything gets tender and the flavors have melded together.

  6. Serve it while it's hot with steamed rice.
