Bistek Tagalog

Filipino beef steak with oyster sauce, onions, and calamansi.

Ingredients

  • 333.33 g Beef sirloin, sliced thin
  • 0.17 cup Soy sauce
  • 2.67 pcs Calamansi juice
  • 1.33 pcs Onion, sliced
  • 2.67 pcs Garlic, minced
  • 0.33 cup Water
  • 0.67 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1.33 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef in soy sauce and calamansi for 30 minutes.

  2. Cook the garlic until they soften and release their aroma.

  3. Add onion and water. Simmer 10 minutes.

  4. Thicken with cornstarch slurry. Serve with rice.
