Adobong Talaba

Adobong Talaba is made of plump oysters cooked in soy sauce, calamansi juice, and garlic for a mouth-watering seafood dish. Delicious as an appetizer or main entree! Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 4 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 thumb size ginger, peeled and julienned
  • 2 lb oysters, (meat only), drained well
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 0 pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup calamansi juice
  • 0 salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Get a pan on medium heat and warm up oil. Add butter.

  2. Drop in the garlic, onion, ginger and sauté just until they soften.

  3. Drop in oysters and saute for about 1 minute.

  4. Add soy sauce, pepper, and Thai chili peppers. Cook for about 1 minute.

  5. Add calamansi juice and bring up to a rolling boil. Keep cooking for about 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is slightly reduced.

  6. Add salt to taste. Serve while hot.
