Tinolang Palaka

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 3 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, peeled and julienned
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 cup water
  • 4 frog legs
  • 0.5 bunch spinach
  • 1 chayote
  • 0 salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Get a pot on medium heat and warm up oil. Add onions, garlic, and ginger and cook, stirring them around, until softened.

  2. Add fish sauce and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes.

  3. Add water and Get it boiling.

  4. Add frog legs. Lower heat, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes or until frog legs are tender.

  5. Add chayote and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes or until tender.

  6. Add salt and pepper until it suits your preference.

  7. Toss in spinach, turn off heat, and cover to allow spinach to cook in the residual heat. Serve it while it's hot.
