Sarciadong Manok

Chicken stewed with tomato and green peas and seasoned with fish sauce for that delicious Umami taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 large bs chicken (cut into serving pieces)
  • 4 piece tomatoe ripe (sliced)
  • 2 oz tomato paste (optional)
  • 3.25 cup green peas
  • 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
  • 5 piece dried bay leaves
  • 1 piece onion (chopped)
  • 4 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 0 Fish sauce and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Saute onion, garlic, and tomato.

  2. Once the onion and tomato soften, add chicken pieces. Continue to cook until the color turns light brown.

  3. Add tomato paste and chicken broth. Let boil.

  4. Put-in dried bay leaves and parsley. Cover and cook between low to medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes. Note: add more water or chicken broth if needed.

  5. Add green peas and season with fish sauce and ground black pepper.

  6. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve! Share and enjoy.
