Creamed Spinach

Tender spinach in a rich garlic cream sauce, served warm as a smooth and flavorful side for any main course.

Ingredients

  • 396.9 g (14 oz) spinach
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3.25 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • nutmeg to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan.

  2. Add garlic and then cook until the color turns light brown.

  3. Put-in spinach. Stir.

  4. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Cook for 3 minutes while stirring.

  5. Pour-in heavy whipping cream. Continue cooking for 5 to 7 minutes in medium heat while stirring every 2 minutes.

  6. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve.
