Chicken and Ham Sopas

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb. ground chicken
  • 1.5 lb. chopped ham
  • 12 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1.5 lb. wide egg noodles or elbow macaroni
  • 1.25 cup butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 cup celery ribs (chopped)
  • 1 large arge baking potato (diced)
  • 2 medium carrots (diced)
  • 4 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cup water
  • 1.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0 Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a deep cooking pot.

  2. Put-in the butter to melt.

  3. Add-in the onions once the butter becomes hot.Cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Put-in the celery ribs. Cook for 1 minute.

  5. add the ground chicken and ham. Cook for 3 minutes.

  6. Pour-in the chicken broth and water. Let boil. Simmer for 30 minutes.

  7. Add the carrots and potato. Cook for 5 minutes.

  8. Pour-in the evaporated milk. Allow to boil, and then simmer for 10 minutes.

  9. Put-in the noodles and thyme. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes.

  10. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  11. Transfer to a serving bowl.

  12. Serve. Share and enjoy!
