Adobong Sitaw with Tofu

Ingredients

  • 15 piece string beans (cut into 2 ½ inch length)
  • 3 piece extra firm tofu (about 3 oz. per piece, fried until medium brown)
  • 1 medium yellow onion (sliced)
  • 1.5 cup soy sauce
  • 1.25 cup water
  • 1.25 cup white vinegar
  • 5 clove garlic (crushed)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 0 Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the fried tofu into squares. Set aside.

  2. Heat the cooking oil in a pan.

  3. Saute garlic and onion until the onion is soft.

  4. Put-in the sliced tofu. Add soy sauce and water. Let boil.

  5. Pour-in the vinegar. Let it reboil.

  6. Add the string beans. Stir and cover. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  7. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve.
