Shrimp Fried Rice with Sausage (Vietnamese Fried Rice )

Shrimp fried rice with Chinese sausage, eggs, and vegetables. Stir-fried with garlic, onion, soy sauce, and Maggi Savor.

Ingredients

  • 5 cup long grain rice (cooked)
  • 0.75 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 piece Chinese sausage (thinly sliced crosswise)
  • 5 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 yellow onion (minced)
  • 1.5 cup frozen carrots and green peas
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Maggi Savor (Original)
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 stalks scallions (chopped)
  • 3 g rams Maggi Magic Sarap
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat cooking oil in a wok or large pan. Pour the beaten eggs and scramble until just set. Season with Maggi Magic Sarap. Remove and set aside.

  2. Using the same pan, fry the shrimp for 1 to 2 minutes per side or until it turns pink. Remove and set aside.

  3. Add the Chinese sausage. Cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until the edges start to crisp. Add the butter and let it melt.

  4. Sauté the garlic and onion until the onion softens.

  5. Add the carrots and green peas. Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

  6. Add the rice. Break it apart and toss until everything is mixed. Stir-fry over high heat for 3 to 4 minutes.

  7. Season with soy sauce, fish sauce, Maggi Savor, and ground black pepper. Mix well.

  8. Put the shrimp, sausage, and scrambled eggs back in the pan. Toss everything together.

  9. Add chopped scallions. Turn off the heat. Give it one final mix and serve.
