Pork Guisantes

Tender pork slices simmered in a rich tomato sauce with green peas and bell peppers, creating a hearty and comforting stew best enjoyed with steamed rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 large b. pork (sliced into strips)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 1.5 cup green peas
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 5 clove garlic (minced)
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1.5 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 0 fish sauce and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and pour-in cooking oil

  2. Add the pork. Sear until it browns (around 3 to 5 minutes).

  3. Add garlic and onion. Saute until the onion softens.

  4. Add the soy sauce, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Simmer until the pork gets tender (usually 30 to 45 minutes)

  5. Add the red bell pepper and green peas. Continue cooking for 3 minutes.

  6. Season with fish sauce and ground black pepper.

  7. Transfer to a serving plate.

  8. Serve. Share and enjoy!
