Pochero (Filipino)

Beef stew with squash, beans, and pasta in tomato broth.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 kg Beef brisket
  • 0.25 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Squash (kalabasa)
  • 0.5 cup Green beans
  • 0.25 cup Pasta shells
  • 1 pcs Tomatoes, chopped
  • 0.5 pcs Onion, chopped
  • 2 pcs Garlic, minced
  • 1 pcs Bay leaves
  • 4 cup Water
  • 0.5 tsp Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil beef in water with garlic, onion, and bay leaves for 1 hour.

  2. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, and squash. Simmer 20 minutes.

  3. Mix in green beans and pasta. Cook it until pasta is done.

  4. Add salt and pepper. Serve it while it's hot.
