Pancit Bihon with Lechon Kawali

Filipino pancit bihon topped with chopped crispy pork belly.

Ingredients

  • 24 oz bihon
  • 2 piece Knorr Pork Cube
  • 8 oz pork belly (boiled and sliced)
  • 1 large b. lechon kawali
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1.25 cup dried shrimp (optional)
  • 1.5 cup carrot (Julienne)
  • 1 large b. snap peas
  • 1 piece cabbage (chopped)
  • 2 piece onion (chopped)
  • 1 head garlic (chopped)
  • 3 piece Chinese sausage (sliced)
  • 1.5 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 11.5 cup water
  • 1.5 cup parsley (chopped)
  • 0 Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot. Saute onion and garlic until the onion softens.

  2. Add pork belly and sausage. Saute for 3 minutes.

  3. Pour soy sauce and water. Let boil.

  4. Add Knorr Pork cube. Stir and cook for 1 minute.

  5. Add bihon noodles. Cover the pot and then continue cooking until the noodles starts to soften.

  6. Add oyster sauce. Toss until all ingredients are well distributed.

  7. Put-in dried shrimp, cabbage, snap peas, carrot. Toss. Cook for 7 minutes.

  8. Season with ground black pepper and soy sauce if needed.

  9. Arrange in a serving tray and top with chopped lechon kawali.

  10. Serve with sliced lime or calamansi. Share and enjoy!
