Round Steak in Criolla Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 large bs round steak
  • 6 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp whole peppercorn
  • 1 medium onion (halved)
  • 1 bunch leeks (chopped)
  • 1 medium tomato (seeds removed and chopped finely)
  • 1 g reen bell pepper (chopped finely)
  • 1.25 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
  • 1 medium yellow onion (chopped finely)
  • 1 red bell pepper (chopped finely)
  • 1.25 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1.5 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 0 salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour water in a cooking pot and let boil.

  2. Put-in the halved onion, leeks, 1/2 tablespoon salt and whole peppercorns.

  3. Add-in the round steak and allow the water to re-boil. Simmer for 45 to 60 minutes or until the beef is tender.

  4. Remove the beef from the cooking pot and let the meat rest for 15 minutes. Slice thinly, and set aside.

  5. Make the Criolla Sauce by combining all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

  6. Arrange the meat and the sauce in a serving plate by alternately layering the meat and the sauce.

  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  8. Serve. Share and Enjoy!
