Bow Tie Pasta with Vodka Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 large b bow tie pasta (Farfalle)
  • 1.5 lb chicken breasts (chopped)
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 piece shallot (minced)
  • 1.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Set aside.

  2. Pour-in olive oil in a cooking pot then sauté garlic and shallots for about 4 minutes.

  3. Add-in chicken breast and cook for 3 more minutes.

  4. Pour-in vodka then cook for about 3 to 4 minutes.

  5. Pour-in chicken stock and crushed tomatoes and let boil. Simmer for 12 to 15 minutes.

  6. Add salt, pepper, and cream then stir. Turn-off heat immediately.

  7. Pour the sauce over the bow tie pasta and drizzle some chopped fresh basil.

  8. Serve. Share and enjoy!
