Ginataang Kalabo

Bamboo shoots in spicy coconut cream with pork.

Ingredients

  • 1.33 cup Bamboo shoots (kalabo)
  • 1 cup Coconut cream
  • 200 g Pork, sliced
  • 3.33 pcs Bird's eye chilies
  • 2 pcs Garlic, minced
  • 0.67 tbsp Shrimp paste
  • 0.67 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1.33 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Parboil bamboo shoots for 15 minutes. Drain it well.

  2. Cook the garlic until they soften and release their aroma.

  3. Add coconut cream, chilies, shrimp paste, and fish sauce.

  4. Add bamboo shoots and simmer for 20 minutes.
