Creamy Tofu with Mixed Vegetables

Fried firm tofu cooked in creamy mushroom sauce with vegetables

Ingredients

  • 48 oz extra firm tofu (diced)
  • 35 g rams Knorr Cream of Mushroom
  • 1 piece Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose cream
  • 0.75 cup green peas
  • 0.75 cup carrots (diced)
  • 0.75 cup corn kernels
  • 1 piece onion (minced)
  • 3 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp roasted garlic (optional)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Salt and ground black pepper to taste

  2. Deep fry the tofu until it turns golden brown. Set aside.

  3. Melt butter in a pan and then add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Sauté the garlic and onion until the onion softens.

  4. Add the fried tofu. Saute for 30 seconds.

  5. Add the green peas, carrots, and corn. Saute for 2 minutes.

  6. Put-in the Knorr Chicken Cube.

  7. Combine water and Knorr Cream of Mushroom. Mix well and then pour the mixture into the pan. Stir.

  8. Pour the heavy cream. Adjust the heat to the lowest setting. Simmer until the sauce reduces to half.

  9. Add some toasted garlic (if desired) and season with salt and ground black pepper.
