Cheesy Ham Steak with Bacon and Mushroom

Ingredients

  • 500 g rams CDO Holiday Ham (sliced (1-inch thick))
  • 300 g rams button mushroom (sliced)
  • 6 strips CDO Young Pork Bacon (cooked until crispy and crumbled)
  • 50 g rams cheddar cheese (sliced)
  • 1 onion (minced)
  • 3 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 0 Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan. Sauté onion and garlic. Add mushrooms once the onion softens. Continue sautéing for 2 minutes. Season with salt and ground black pepper. Set aside.

  2. Heat cooking oil in a clean pan. Fry the ham steak for 3 minutes.

  3. Flip the ham over and top with 2 to 3 slices of cheddar cheese. Cover the pan. Continue cooking for 2 ½ minutes.

  4. Arrange the ham steak on a serving plate. Top it with crumbled bacon and serve with sauteed mushrooms.
